Privacy Policy

Introduction

Smart RTB is an Oklahoma-based advertising technology company that provides real-time online advertising services to consumers, website publishers, and other advertising technology platforms by both providing, and allowing other companies to provide consumers with relevant ads on their online devices.

We operate programmatic technology platforms, including the Smart RTB Marketplace, which facilitates the buying and selling of ad space on mobile applications and websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information about you. Smart RTB is committed to transparency, and we want you to fully understand how we collect and use this information about you.

We support efforts for self-regulation in the advertising technology industry, and while we are not a member of the NAI (Network Advertising Initiative), we voluntarily adhere and conform to the Code of Conduct (https://www.networkadvertising.org/code-enforcement/code).

Collection of Information

Smart RTB collects information through the use of Cookies, Beacons, Pixels, Tags, and in some cases Non-Cookie technologies. The platforms are made to use and transmit certain types of information, which includes:

Information regarding the app visited, session times, connection type (cellular connection or WiFi)

Information about your device, such as make and model, operating system, carrier name, browser name, and identifications associated to your device such as the iOS and Android ID’s (IDFA and AAID respectively)

Your IP address

Your location information (Zip Code, GPS location, and location derived from WiFi)

Information about the ads rendered, viewed, or clicked on

Some of the above information can be considered “Personal Data” in some jurisdictions because of the ability to identify a specific device (EU and Canada). Smart RTB does not allow information that by itself identifies an individual such as name, address, phone numbers, email, or any other personally identifiable identifier on our platform. The previous information can be defined as “Personally Identifiable Information” under US Federal Law, and Smart RTB does not allow such information to be collected or used in association with the Platform.

Some information may be considered “Sensitive Data”. Smart RTB does not allow any forms of Sensitive Data to be collected or used on our platform at the current time.  

If you are located in the EEA, we will typically rely on our legitimate interest to collect personal data, except where such interests are overridden by your personal data protection interests or your fundamental rights and freedoms. The legitimate interests of Smart RTB are the operation of our platform. Sometimes we will rely on the consent acquired by the digital properties themselves, or we will rely on our consent acquired via digital properties that use our platform. We will always obtain such consent in appliance with all applicable laws.

Use of Information

Smart RTB uses and traffics information collected on our Platform to operate and maintain the Platform for our clients. This can include the servings of ads based on geographic location information, multi-function reporting on ad delivery, clicks, and other measurements functions, use of the information for fraud detection and malware detection and also use of the information for machine learning purposes in the optimization of our infrastructure.

Sharing of Information

Except as stated in this Privacy Policy, we will not share your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with third parties. We only share your PII with third parties when the assurance of your consent is shared by the third party in relation to online advertising or marketing purposes.

We may share non-PII information with third parties in our platform. For example, we may provide information to others as to the placed ads contextual segment, which can include demographic information, or we may share your device information such as Device ID or IP Address. We may also disclose PII and non-PII to our affiliates, vendors, and other partners who provide data processing services. We will always request written assurance that information used will be used for the purposes of the functions in which they are contractually obliged to perform.

In addition to the above, we may also disclose non-PII and PII with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, courts with jurisdiction, or any other necessary third parties in order to: comply with laws or regulatory requirements, to protect the rights and property of Smart RTB and our partners, and to protect the safety of our employees, customers, or any person.

Smart RTB’s platform is based in the United States and is under the jurisdiction of the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, the information we collect may be transferred to the United States and processed there. In other countries, the privacy laws may not be the same as where you reside, and in some cases, may not be as protective. Additional considerations will apply to those from the EEA.

We generally store data on our platforms from our partners for up to two years. After two years, information is discarded. As it relates to contextual information, demographic information, and cookies, we will store this information for up to 180 days, and this information is discarded after that time. We follow strict security policies in regards to the protection of personal data transmitted and within our platforms. It is important to note that no method of storage or transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, Smart RTB will notify all possibly impacted parties within 72 hours of the breach.

Your Rights

Do Not Track (DNT) is a preference that you can set in certain browsers to allow you another method of informing websites and services that you don’t want certain information collected. We do not currently respond to DNT signals on the page, however, we do respond to and act on partner requests of DNT logs with appropriate deletions of user data and/or cookies.

We do not knowingly collect or transfer information on users under the age of 18. If such information exists on our platform and we are made aware of it, we will delete this information.

The advertising industry provides websites where you may opt out of interest-based advertising from companies that operate within industry self regulatory programs. You can also opt out of information being used on mobile devices using your device settings within most devices. See below for more information on the above:

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make any material changes, they will not be applied retroactively.
